Face Pull
Targets: Rear Delts · Rotator Cuff · Traps
Save it for quick access
About the movement
The best corrective exercise in the gym. Face pulls strengthen your rear delts and rotator cuff, fixing the forward-rounded posture most pressing creates.
How to do it
- 1
Set a rope attachment on a cable pulley at face height. Grab the rope with palms facing each other.
- 2
Step back until there is tension, then pull the rope toward your face, flaring your elbows out and back.
- 3
At the end of the pull, rotate your hands back as if showing your biceps to a mirror.
- 4
Return slowly until your arms are extended and your shoulder blades are stretched forward.
Form tips
- •Use light weight; the goal is movement quality, not load.
- •Pull to your forehead level, not your chin.
- •Finish with an external rotation at the end of each rep for cuff health.
