About the movement
A hanging core movement that crushes your lower abs. You also get a grip and shoulder endurance bonus just from hanging.
How to do it
- 1
Hang from a pull-up bar with arms fully extended and shoulders active.
- 2
Without swinging, raise your legs until they are parallel to the floor or higher.
- 3
Pause briefly at the top, then lower your legs under control.
- 4
Stop the rep the moment you start swinging.
Form tips
- •Keep your legs straight to emphasize the abs; bend knees to make it easier.
- •Do not swing; momentum steals the work from your core.
- •If you cannot raise straight legs, start with knees tucked to your chest.
